Deontay Wilder’s younger brother Marsellos will no longer fight on the undercard of James DeGale vs Chris Eubank Jr next month.

The domestic grudge match will be live on talkSPORT featuring bouts such as Joe Joyce vs Bermane Stiverne and Lee Selby vs Omar Douglas in the preceding contests, with Marsellos originally supposed to join them.

William Deets, right, stunned Wilder by knocking him out in their four-round fight

However, his schedule has now been wiped clean as he was knocked out on Saturday night in New York.

It’s listed on Boxrec that Wilder has been issued an indefinite medical suspension by the New York commission following the defeat and so will not be able to return to the on February 23 at the O2 Arena.

After three wins to begin his fledgling career, the 29-year-old cruiserweight came across journeyman William Deets.

Despite having a poor record of six wins and 12 losses, Deets stunned Marsellos Wilder with a knockout in the final few minutes of their four-round fight.

The heavyweight champion’s brother must now take some time out before rebuilding his career.
