Chelsea defender David Luiz has been slammed by Vinnie Jones after Sunday’s mauling at Manchester City, with the Brazilian accused of ‘hiding’ when the going gets tough for the Blues.
The footballer-turned-actor joined talkSPORT to react to his former club’s 6-0 humiliation at the Etihad Stadium.
It was another a shambolic display on the road, as Chelsea were put to the sword in ruthless fasion by the defending champions.
The result – their heaviest ever Premier League defeat – ramps up the pressure on Maurizio Sarri, whose side were stunned 4-0 by Bournemouth in their previous away trip and who apologised to fans after the final whistle.

Collectively, it was a dreadful performance from the Blues, were found themselves 4-0 down after just 25 minutes at City.
But former Chelsea defender Jones singled out one player for criticism…
“David Luiz, I think he hides when Chelsea are losing,” he said on Monday’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“I saw the game and just thought, ‘what is going on here?’

“When Chelsea are winning, he’s pinging 60 yard balls about and looking good, but every time I’ve seen Chelsea struggle or are losing, Luiz will hide.
“You cant have that.
“John Terry was a massive hole to fill and he hasn’t done it for me. He really hasn’t.”
